Assembler – Cape Town, SA

Job objectives/Principal accountabilities:

Gearbox Assembly:

• Strip Gearboxes
• Assemble Rotor and Stators (Motors)
• Use Hydraulic Presses
• Use Measuring Equipment
• Understand Tolerances (Limits & Fits)
• Must be able to read and work from Drawings and Sketches
• Use Test Rig to do test runs on Repaired Gearboxes

Safety, Health & Environment Standards:

• Safety and health problems are identified and reported to the safety Representative for rectifying
• Hazardous situations are reported or resolved immediately
• Safety and health equipment is available and ready for use
• Incidents/accidents are prevented by the effective operation of equipment and machinery, and by following health and
  safety procedures
• Health and safety procedures are adhered to and updated as laid down in legislation
• The work area is safe and clean as per company policy

Minimum Requirements:

•  Matric
• 2 – 3 Years’ experience in assembly industry-related product
• Knowledge of Business
• Knowledge of Processes
• Policy and Procedure
• System Knowledge
• Product Knowledge
• Industry Knowledge
